The Bluegrass State Skills Corporation approved Magni Industries, Kentucky for participation in their Competitive Grant-In-Aid Workforce Training Program. The program's goal is to improve and promote opportunities in the workplace for full-time employees who reside in Kentucky. Magni Industries, located in Independence, Kentucky, is an approved manufacturer and on March 19, 2008 received over $24,000.00 in reimbursement funds for last year's involvement. The types of training Magni Industries conducted include new employee training and on-the-job training. A few of our OTJ participants, Mark Bodde, LaMarr Kirkland, and Lonnie Cooper learned skills necessary for operating the daily and weekly demands of many on-site Magni positions.

Magni's House Band Plays Live On-Stage
Our musically talented Magni employees flocked together two years ago and since have been the band, "Phil McCrackin and the Irish Rappers." The group rocked the Magic Bag Theater Live on Super Bowl Sunday in Downtown Ferndale, Michigan.

Leader of the pack, Phil McCrackin failed to show (typical) leaving guitarists/singers Herbie, Ted, Hibby and drummer Brett to belt out their classic covers sans Phil. Lead singer Phil did send a message via big cookie during the band's surprise birthday song to Ted, Neil Young's "Old Man" with the message, "Happy Bday Ted, Sorry I missed the gig, stuck in Cabo".

The guys will be performing at the 2008 Woodward Dream Cruise this August; look for them along with guest percussionist Kunga Boy and the ever-present super-groupies, the McCrackhead Nation.
